Captain Limbert’s Trunk
An astonishing haul of Second World War photos and records has come to light contained in a trunk that belonged to Captain Richard Limbert, who played an important role in the Modena area during the Allied campaign to free Italy from 1943-45.

Breakout from Camp PG60
On April 25th, 2019, Capannori, a large comune of 40 villages just south of Lucca, focused its annual commemoration of the Liberation of Italy on the events of September 1943 at the prisoner of war camp (PG60) on its territory.
