PoW bibliography

There are a substantial number of first-hand accounts by former prisoners of war in Italy, and an ever-increasing store of secondary sources: research into the Allied presence in the country during the Second World War, more than 75 years since the events, has, if anything, intensified.

For the benefit of followers of the Monte San Martino Trust, Julia MacKenzie has compiled a list of approximately 200 first-hand accounts and secondary sources about the PoW experience in Italy that can be accessed through the pdf below. The Trust is extremely grateful to her.
